What to send
• Referral or prescription for the ocular prosthesis or scleral shell
• Recent clinic notes and surgery date, if applicable
• Patient demographics and insurance information
• VA patients: we coordinate directly with the VA
What happens next
We usually see patients about 6 to 8 weeks after enucleation or evisceration, once the surgeon confirms the socket has healed.
